Alan Rickman's 'Harry Potter' Performance Deserves An Oscar, Says Daniel Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe has said that Alan Rickman's portrayal of Professor Snape in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1' is deserving of an Oscar nomination.
Rickman played the duplicitous Snape throughout the 'Potter' franchise, and Radcliffe believes he deserves credit for how he played the role.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "I don't think there is going to be another performance from an actor in a supporting role that is so powerful, where the actor had the challenge of realising a scene that's been realised millions of times the world over in the imaginations of readers.

"That scene - those revelations about Snape's past - represented maybe the most anticipated part of [one of] the most anticipated movies of the past 10 years. I think Alan does amazing, amazing work."
However, Holliwood's traditional reluctance to recognise big franchises come Award season suggests that this may be a plea too far.
It has been announced that a 'Harry Potter' theme park will be opened at Universal's Hollywood Studio.
 Sincerely,
